About

How can I support you as a Clinical Hypnotherapist?

We will work as a team. Start by reading the information below to see if hypnotherapy is right for you. First, it is important to realize that as a hypnotherapist, my job is to teach you how to take control of your thoughts and reactions which helps to promote general well-being. Hypnotherapy is a self-help tool that you will learn to use. If you make it a part of your regular routine, you significantly increase your results. Your mind is amazing, so let's harness its power to help you. Reducing anxiousness: Is the world right now a little too much to handle? Through hypnosis, the mind enters a deeply relaxed state where the subconscious becomes more receptive to suggestions. This can be particularly helpful for those who struggle with constant anxious thoughts. By accessing the subconscious, you and I can reframe these worries, focusing on relaxation and calmness, while helping develop healthier thought patterns and stress responses. Transforming Negative Thoughts and Emotions: Often, negative emotions like fear, guilt, or shame stem from deep-rooted beliefs or past experiences. Together we will work to replace those negative emotions with healthier, positive alternatives—like self-compassion and empowerment. Shifting to Positive Affirmations: While you are in a state of hypnosis, I will guide you to accept new, positive beliefs about yourself and the world around you. For example, you might be guided to internalize affirmations like, “I am enough,” “I do handle challenges,” or “I deserve happiness.” Over time, these affirmations can replace old, negative thoughts, leading to lasting changes in self-esteem and outlook. Specific Situations (e.g., Exam Nerves): In the case of specific events like exams or public speaking, hypnotherapy can be used to alleviate the fears or physical symptoms associated with that event. Developing Emotional Control: Hypnotherapy also teaches you to develop greater emotional awareness and control. With a few sessions, as well as listening daily to your recorded sessions, hypnotherapy can help you become more aware of your emotional patterns and triggers. Hypnotherapy will teach you to manage those emotions before they escalate into impulsive or harmful actions. In short, and with solid scientific evidence, hypnotherapy works by accessing the subconscious mind, which controls much of our automatic behaviors, beliefs, and emotional responses. Hypnotherapy can facilitate long-term emotional and psychological change, making it an effective tool for both specific issues and broader life challenges. And yes, all done via video. Lori received her professional certification training from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America.
